Trade Ideas
Equity scanner and alert platform. Visit the official site →
Strong scanner category; the buyer still owns validation and execution.
What it is
Trade Ideas is a configurable equity-scanning and alert platform rather than one managed intraday record. It belongs in a buyer's comparison because a scanner can support a day-trading workflow, but its alerts should not be treated as a verified provider track record.
What a buyer can verify
Test the exact scan, record alerts prospectively, and compare realistic fills with the displayed trigger. A backtest can help design a workflow, but it is not a dated live signal ledger or an independent audit of executed trades.
Who it fits
Best for active equity traders who want configurable discovery tools.
Where the evidence stops
A high alert count is not a high-quality record, and the platform cannot prove what a buyer executed.
Run a 30-alert forward test
Freeze the service, strategy, or scanner settings before the test begins. Log 30 consecutive qualifying alerts rather than choosing the cleanest examples. For each one, keep the original publication time, instrument, direction, entry rule, stop, target, edit history, first realistic fill after receipt, fees, slippage, close instruction, and final outcome. Mark ambiguous and missed entries instead of silently removing them.
Day-trading friction checklist
- Delivery: measure the delay between publication and receipt.
- Tradability: compare the displayed trigger with bid, ask, spread, liquidity, and halts at that moment.
- Risk: record initial stop distance, later stop changes, overlapping positions, and total open exposure.
- Accounting: include losses, cancellations, partial exits, open trades, fees, and alerts that moved before entry.
- Reconciliation: compare your complete log with any provider summary and document every excluded alert.
Questions before subscribing
Ask for the continuous dated history, the exact entry convention, the treatment of late alerts and partial fills, the maximum simultaneous exposure, and the rules for deleting or revising calls. Confirm renewal and cancellation terms before paying. A provider that cannot answer those questions has not supplied enough information for an evidence-based decision.
How this guide classifies it
We keep platform telemetry, backtests, publisher claims, and named independent evidence separate. A useful tool can still be unverified. The profile records the distinction so a buyer can decide what additional proof is needed.
