Build a Day-Signal Session Journal That Keeps Missed and Unresolved Alerts
Use explicit states for the whole observation population, not a showcase of closed winners.
Define a journal row
Start with one original setup and link its communications and amendments. Record session, time zone, publication as stated, receipt, review and validity. A row can be incomplete; explain the missing artifact rather than inventing precision.
The journal is a record design. Its fields do not establish that an instruction was genuine or that an entered time was independently measured. Preserve the source reference and evidence class.
Use states that do not imply a fill
Eligible under the declared window means the timing assumption permits further review, not that a trade happened. Missed or expired identifies a timing/availability limit. Cancelled identifies an instruction lifecycle. Unresolved identifies a missing rule or record.
An actual executed state requires the account operation separately. The browser worksheet avoids turning a timing acceptance into a broker confirmation.
Keep an original population
Retain every qualifying object under the declared session and task. Duplicate updates can be linked rather than counted as fresh trades. Cases that cannot be reconstructed should remain in the inventory.
The population can support an operational statement about what was observed. It cannot produce a verified provider win rate without an appropriate outcome definition and execution boundary.
Worked journal illustration
The downloadable synthetic example contains eligible, missed, cancelled and unresolved rows. They are invented teaching records with demo identifiers, not messages from a reviewed provider. They illustrate how different states coexist in one inventory.
The default editable worksheet starts with blank reader records, not fake user reviews. Exported notes remain reader-entered and unverified. Do not circulate the example as actual market evidence.
Review the session boundary
Attach remaining positions and failed closes where account evidence exists. A closed-winner tally should not conceal open exposure. If an instruction has no account trail, keep the execution layer absent.
Costs and simultaneous quantity belong to the account record. A journal state should not assign a favorable cash value to an unfilled or expired instruction.
Retain and revisit the record
The forms operate in the browser and export a file; they do not submit notes or persist them in local storage. Avoid entering credentials or account-identifying material. Hosting requests and linked providers have separate privacy boundaries.
Keep the dated observation rules with the exported file. A later product or policy change should create a new version rather than silently rewriting the original conclusion.
Source references are not certifications
A row can contain a link and still be unresolved if the link does not support the entered claim. Keep the relevant object, period and scope in the note. A documented-state count is a completeness aid, not proof of authenticity or an independently verified provider score.
Share the rules with the file
A standalone exported journal should retain its record class and declared timing assumptions. Otherwise a later reader may mistake a synthetic example or manual observation for actual account evidence. Demo identifiers and the hypothetical flag are deliberately included in the example export.
Keep absent events absent
A blank time or operation field should not inherit a convenient value from the previous row. Preserve the missing reason. The journal can support a conclusion that a workflow needs more evidence; it does not need every cell filled to be useful.
