Execution and Costs: Compare the Record, Not the Best Price
Reference levels and account operations should remain in different columns.
Price convention
Name mid, bid, ask, last or actual fill where relevant. A retrospective chart level does not show the subscriber's order price. Save source and timestamp with the value.
Cost components
List fees and other assumptions not already embedded in the observed prices. Avoid double counting a spread or movement. Unknown costs cannot silently become zero.
Quantity and lifecycle
Keep intended, accepted, filled and remaining quantities. Partial fills and cancelled remainders can change the position from the published setup.
Supported arithmetic
A hypothetical distance or ratio is a teaching calculation, not a probability or recommendation. An account result requires actual operations, costs, funding and exposure records.
Apply the Criterion
Write the exact missing artifact and whether the claim is documented, attributed, hypothetical or unresolved. A completed field is not a certification, and the criterion does not assign a star score.
